Then, after World War Two, a San Francisco builder named Henry Doelger bought about six hundred acres of it. That is a lot of cabbage. He built a whole neighborhood of homes, and it became part of Daly City in 1948. Imagine telling a cabbage, sorry, you have to move, we need a garage.
